  2. Send your high school transcripts (unofficial copies are accepted) and your SAT or ACT scores (a copy of the report you received is acceptable) to the College of Forestry Student Resources & Engagement Office so that we receive them before February 15, 2017. Even if you have sent these documents to the OSU Office of Admissions, you must send them again directly to the College of Forestry. Due to some administrative protocols, the College of Forestry Student Resources & Engagement Office does not have access to these documents through the university system before the scholarship application deadline necessitating new students also send transcripts directly to us. We realize that high school transcripts sent before February 15, 2017 may not reflect a student's most recent term and associated grades; scholarship decisions are made using a variety of criteria in combination with academic performance.   Please note that your scholarship application will be considered incomplete if we do not receive these documents by the deadline, and your application will not proceed to the review process.  Please send your test scores and transcripts to:

Important Notes

Before you apply, be sure to note that:

  • You must apply for scholarships each year you wish to be considered for a scholarships (there are no "automatically renewing" scholarships, so even if you get a scholarship one year you are not guarenteed to get a scholarship the next).
  • When the application requires you to list what "year in school" or "class level" (i.e. freshman, sophomore, junior, senior) you will be enrolled in for 2019, this is referring to the 2018-19 academic year.
  • The application process requires you to write several short essays. It is advised that you write these essays in a text editor program, such as Microsoft Word or OpenOffice Word, to check for spelling errors.
  • Don't be dismayed if you do not receive a CoF scholarship for your first year enrolled at OSU in the College of Forestry.  First-year scholarships are very competitive as students have not yet proven success at the college or university level (especially in forestry coursework).  Please apply again the next year as you may be surprised what a successful first year in your forestry studies can bring to you by way of scholarship funding from the CoF.
